  My profile pic is a sheep in wolf's clothing, just a quick doodle drawn on my phone screen.

  This is what I and many PIMOs feel like, forced to be in a situation where we are pressured to do damaging things like enforce shunning, uphold an abusive organization and defend it against all reason, and preach dangerous doctrine to the public. Yet we try not to be used as tools to the extent we can manage, try not to do any more harm than we already did when mentally in, and attempt to redress from within to a degree.

  just wanted to share this funny thing.. so we have just been invited to a neighborhood xmas party to be held in the house of a lovely couple around the corner from us.. they bought the house a short time back from a jw who built it and lived there!.

  so, we get to enjoy one of our first xmas parties as a couple, in the former house of a jw!.

  now, that made me giggle.....

  just got done watching this program and what impress me the most was the bravery of those x-witnesses to sit there on national tv and tell everyone how the wt.

  cult affected them.

  no hidden faces, no avatar names and no disguise.

  Nice to meet you, Winners, I wish I could do the same. Maybe some day, maybe never, but we're still in this together.

  * And BTW I do think there's a good chance there are more non-active than active JWs, if you count the loads who are disfellowshipped each year, faders/inactives and PIMOs like myself. If you count only those who are truly non-believers, like PIMOs and 'apostates', etc. then maybe not.

  i need watchtower letters, either to the congregations or to individuals from 1940 to 1960. i need them no matter how inconsequential they may seem.

  Try avoidjw.org and go to the section that has letters and the like. Not sure how far it goes back, but they've got loads of stuff.

  Well there are different thoughts on whether or not those are actually "God's commands" but that's another story. Whether or not you believe in a deity is irrelevant. It's about being honest about actual things that are actually happening in the real world.
